This sounds too hard to make. It will require a daemon which waits for your player to be launched. Instead it will be much easier to add an option to hide MusicBar from the menu bar when nothing is playing (in that case if you open MusicBar again it should also signal that it's hidden and maybe show the preferences screen to allow users to disable that option). How does that sound to you?

There is an app that does this, if it helps you, you can take a look. It doesn't matter if it can't be realized. This version is very good now.
