The title of the main page is "OpenRefine | OpenRefine". This is probably due to the other pages having titles like "Blog | OpenRefine" and the like.

It leads to the page appearing like this in search result pages:
search result link for OpenRefine

It would make sense to set the title to "Open Refine | a tool for messy data" or "Open Refine | work with messy data" or any other very short statement about OpenRefine.

It would make sense to set the title to "Open Refine | a tool for messy data" or "Open Refine | work with messy data" or any other very short statement about OpenRefine.

The tag line is "A power tool for working with messy data," but lack of discipline has caused this to vary over time depending on usage, weakening the branding. When the new web site was invented, yet another variant was created.

A single tag line should be used consistently throughout the project.

Leaving this issue open if someone wants to add the tag line in the title - for now the duplication is removed at least.
