How to build the simulator with ROS 2 Humble

Does the simulator work just with ROS 2 Galactic? I tried installing the simulator many times following your guide online on my Ubuntu 22.04 machine, on which I'm running ROS 2 Humble. Everything is fine until the rosdep install --from-path src -yi command, where I get the following error:

Yes, the simulator works only with ROS 2 Galactic.
We will eventually release a version compatible with Humble, but there are also some dependent packages that needs to be updated first.

Any progress on this one? It's been a while since I've tried, but the instructions here seem to imply that this might work now. However,

rosdep install --from-path src -yi
