Not sure why this issue was converted to a discussion? Thought it might be an issue that I have 1000s of lines like this in my log |

This issue still exists. Not sure why this was converted into a discussion. Perhaps the thought is that there is something wrong with the setup? Which I don't think is the root cause here. I think it all started when I switched to webp thumbnails instead of jpeg. I changed the 'Preview' format as well as the 'Thumbnail' format to WebP. Then reran the thumbnail job for all assets. Now I am changing some facial recognition settings, and trying to rerun 'Facial Recognition' job on all assets. I only changed ''Maximum recognition distance', so rerunning only the recognition job on all assets. -> but The facial recognition job is stuck -> Active = 1, waiting =0. I get the following error in the 'Immich Server' logs. It complains that some .jpeg thumbnails are not found. But I dont use jpeg, all are WebP. I also get the same error when I rerun facial detection. Not just with facial recognition job.
I opened a discord thread for this before I found this discussion. And it does not seem like users can reopen this discussion. So, I will keep this discussion updated on what I learn on discord. |

The bug
I use an external library, photos are curated in my own directory structure. No auto uploads, only manually placed in that library folder, where I have 1000s of directories and hundreds of thousands of photos. I have never touched any of the immich created database files or thumbnail directories manually, though recently in the logs, I start seeing endless lines of this error (see logs section below). I am not sure what is causing it, unclear from any other info in the logs. Any advice on where I can look?
