Current behavior

Using the Sign in with Uno Platform documentation for VS 2022, I attempted to access the Extensions -> Uno Platform menu. Unfortunately, it doesn't appear visibly within Visual Studio 2022 17.13 Preview 2.1 (arm64).

image

The notification bar with the option to sign-in to my Uno account DID appear after restarting the IDE and allowed me to sign-in, but the extension menu itself doesn't appear at all for me to manually enter the Uno Platform settings.

This issue may affect Visual Studio 2022 17.12 arm64 if not already tested against that build

Expected behavior

The Uno Platform Extensions sub menu appears with the Settings menu item per the instructions

Which tool(s) are affected?

Hot Design™, Hot Reload

How to reproduce it (as minimally and precisely as possible)

  • Load a new/existing Uno Platform project using the 5.5 SDK into Visual Studio 2022 17.13 Preview 2.1 on a Windows arm64 machine
  • Expand the Extensions menu at the top
  • Note the absence of the Uno Platform sub-menu

A fix is coming soon for this, VS changed their ways to interpret some of the APIs we used to make this prompt show up. This is a 17.13 issue, not specific to ARM.

Validated fixed in upcoming 5.6 builds in 17.13 Pre 3.
